There is nothing more annoying than having your entire wall put out of kilter by a badly hung picture right? But how do you know what is correct – well according to research, there is actually a formula for this.
The “right” height to hang the center of your artwork is approximately 57 inches (4ft 9) from the floor. The dimension is ‘-ish’, as it is based on the average person’s sight-line and, depending on whether you are a very tall or indeed short person, this measurement will vary – however, it does give you a start point. So now you can hang your own pictures with absolute confidence that it will look fabulous, well, according to the experts.
